An elephant in bush country in Kenya.
|
- Day One: You are collected from Nairobi airport and taken
to the quiet suburb of Langata where Macushla
House is located. Here you relax around the swimming pool,
recover from the flight and enjoy delicious home cooked meals.
If jet lag has not effected you, there are several interesting
excursions available, including visits to Karen Blixen's House,
The Giraffe Manor, where you can feed the giraffes by hand, and
the Animal Orphanage.
- Days Two - Four: After a relaxing breakfast, you set off at 9pm for
your two night, three day safari to Finch Hattons Safari Camp
in Tsavo West National Park. The 3 hour drive takes you from
the hustle and bustle of Nairobi to the endless wilderness of Tsavo.
At Finch Hattons you will experience all the wonders of the African
bush while enjoying the luxuries of a true Denys Finch-Hatton
safari. Comfortable beds, hot water showers, crystal glasses,
fine china and Mozart playing in the background help create a
truly pampered adventure!
Meals at Finch Hattons are delicious, ranging from a huge buffet
breakfast to a five-course extravaganza at dinner. Moreover, just
when you thought you were full, out come the petit fours! Special
diets are catered for, if we know your requirements in advance.
Game drives provide you with close-up views of the stunning wildlife,
from elephants to mongeese, giraffe to dik-dik and lion to genet
cats. In between game drives, relax in the swimming pool during
the noonday heat, or enjoy the frolicking hippos viewed from the
shade of your tent verandah.
- Days Four - Fourteen: Return to Nairobi for a quick lunch before catching
your afternoon flight to Malindi on the Kenyan Coast.
A short twenty-minute drive from Malindi airport is the Watamu
National Marine Park. Named one of the Top Ten Beaches of the
World in 1998, Watamu hosts Hemingways
Resort, your home for the next ten nights.
Lie back and enjoy the sunshine, snorkeling and lazy, tropical
days while the attentive staff and superb chefs ensure your holiday
enjoyment. For the more active, the deep-sea fishing is superb!
With world class skippers and well-trained crews, Hemingways consistently
tops the big game fish charts while practicing tag and release
systems whenever possible.
If exploring the local area is more your style, the variety of
excursions offered by Watamu is stunning. With the Marine National
Park on your doorstep, and the Arabuko-Sokoke Forest, Mida Creek
Mangrove Reserve and Gede Ruins within a five kilometer radius,
there is no shortage of possibilities for exploration!
- Day Fourteen: Return flight to Nairobi in order to catch
your return flight to Europe.
